How FreeMock treats templates

A meme template is an image that people add their own words to. FreeMock hosts templates so people can find them, read about them and use them to make memes.

We never sell a bare template image or offer it as a product.

A template page is more than the image: we add our own text about the template, examples of how it is used and links to related templates.

Private people and children

We take particular care with images of private people and of children. If a template shows a private person or a child, press Report on its page and choose that reason, and we will look at it with particular care.

If you own the rights

If you own the rights to an image on FreeMock and did not allow its use here, you can ask us to remove it. You do not need an account.

A person on our team reads each notice. If we agree, we hide the template, which takes it out of the site, its search and its sitemap. If we need more information, we may write to you at the e-mail address you give.

Please send a notice only if you believe in good faith that the use is not authorised. Sending a notice you know to be false can have legal consequences for you.

This page describes how we work in plain words. It is not legal advice.

Other problems

For anything else on a template page, such as an offensive image, use the Report button on that page. It is open to everyone.

Takedown notice

Fill in each field. We use what you write to handle the notice and to write back to you.

One per line: the web address of each template page, or its template id. Up to 20.

Describe your work and where it appears, so we can recognise it. 10 to 4000 characters.
